Success of Our Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department Students

 

Our students from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, Zeynep KIHRI, Emir ALPAY, Hüseyin YALLAGÖZ, and Fatih GÜRSOY, represented our university at the 19th International Istanbul Culinary Days, organized by the Turkish Chefs and Culinary Federation (TAŞFED), which is Turkey’s largest gastronomic competition and festival.

In the International Istanbul Culinary Days, where chefs from Turkey and around the world competed in over seventy categories, our students won the silver medal in the "JP10 - University Level Modern Turkish Cuisine Team" category.

We congratulate our students on their outstanding achievement and extend our thanks to the academics who prepared them for the competition: Lecturer Seda ÇAKMAK KAVSARA, Lecturer Kübra TOPALOĞLU GÜNAN, and Research Assistant İkbal Ertuğrul DİKEÇ.
