Information Technology Department

Responsibilities of the Information Technology Department:

  • To ensure, organize, and develop the use of information and communication technologies within the university.
  • To design, install, and manage local network and internet services.
  • To install, manage, and update the servers that serve the university.
  • To provide services such as email, DNS, DHCP, anti-virus, anti-spam, etc.
  • To propose the development or acquisition of specialized software needed within the university.
  • To prepare, manage, and update the websites of the university and its units.
  • To publish announcements, news, and events.
  • To provide software and hardware support for all computers assigned to academic and administrative staff and students.
  • To perform necessary maintenance and updates to ensure the smooth operation of computers in the university library and laboratories.
  • To prepare the necessary infrastructure and provide technical support during conferences, seminars, and presentations.
  • To keep track of technology to maximize information technology capabilities.
