Participation in the World Philosophy Congress

The 25th World Congress of Philosophy, with the main theme "Philosophy Beyond Boundaries" or "Transborder Philosophy," was held from August 1 to 8, 2024, at the University of Sapienza in Rome (https://wcprome2024.com/).

On behalf of our President of the Turkish Philosophical Society, Prof. Dr. İoanna Kuçuradi, the Vice President, Prof. Dr. Betül Çotuksöken, attended the General Assembly and the General Assembly of the International Institute of Philosophy (IIP) on August 5-6, following meetings that included paper presentations. Prof. Dr. Betül Çotuksöken attended this meeting as a member of the Institute, both on her own behalf and on behalf of Prof. Dr. İoanna Kuçuradi.

The next 26th Congress will be held in 2028, hosted by the University of Tokyo in Japan.

Our Philosophy Department was represented at the Congress by paper presentations from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dilek ARLI ÇİL, Assist. Prof. Dr. Elif Dilan KARA, doctoral students of the Philosophy Department Ulviye KILIÇ KARAKELLE, and Specialist Elif HAMİDİ.
