Our Vision
To increase the importance of sociology education, raise awareness of the relationship between sociology and other disciplines and professional fields, promote awareness of the value of cultural differences and social behavioral diversity that form the foundation of society, support the functionality of domestic and international student and faculty exchange programs, encourage students in their academic careers, and guide them toward diverse career opportunities.
Our Mission
To train individuals with a conscious, critical perspective on social issues, who are researchers and who adhere to ethical values, and to enhance social life by analyzing, evaluating, and proposing solutions to societal issues, thereby playing an active role in shaping the future.
Our Goals
- To train students who recognize and critically discuss basic social concepts, problems, and perspectives.
- To enable students to relate everyday life to institutions such as family, state, education, and religion.
- To help students evaluate what they have learned both in daily life and in their professional futures.
- To develop students' ability to assess social events in an objective and impartial manner.
- To provide students with an understanding of the cultural diversity, values, and processes of cultural, social, and political change of different societies within the context of time and space.
- To train students who possess the knowledge to research social problems using scientific methods.
- To cultivate sociologists who acquire an interdisciplinary perspective and can apply it effectively.
