Seda Nur Mumcu, one of our 2023 graduates of the Faculty of Architecture and Design, Department of Architecture English, was awarded the equivalent honourable mention award among 154 applications in the Archiprix Turkey 2023 National Architecture Students Graduation Projects Competition with her project prepared within the scope of ARCH 420 Design Studio VIII. 
Started in 1996, Archiprix Turkey, the longest-running and most important award programme in the field of architectural education, is organised annually by Şevki Vanlı Architecture Foundation and Architects Association 1927. The competition, which constitutes the first step of a successful professional career for young architects, also aims to increase competition between different educational institutions with their methods and approaches, to see the diversity of the project subjects studied, to develop the discussion environment and thus to improve the quality of architectural education at the national level. Only 12 projects were awarded in the competition where young graduates could participate with their Graduation Projects carried out within the scope of the project courses opened in the 2022-2023 semester in the Architecture Departments of universities in Turkey and Northern Cyprus.
