TRAFFIC SAFETY BOAR

The board that was established to ensure a safe traffic environment on the campus has been working via the electronic notification system where traffic violations are reported for the purpose of contributing traffic safety, which is an important problem throughout the country and the highest risk group is the young people according to the data of the World Health Organization (WHO, ENHIS 2009).

Peace and Confidence Building Commission

The commission was established to collect security data towards peace and confidence building in the university, to carry out the risk analysis, to tighten the preventive security measure done by the private security officers in the entrance of the campus, to increase the quality and quantity of the tools and equipment helping the physical precautions and to encourage starting the initiatives of the scientific activities towards the reasons of violence and anxiety.

COMMISSION OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH PROJECTS

MUAR considers the studies of each academic staff who declare himself/herself as the member of university and carry out national/international scientific research and research and development projects; who has awarded and referred by the registration of intellectual property right (copyrighted work, patent obtained from international/national scientific organizations, utility model document, industrial design registration document, trademark etc.); who write article and book/book chapters and who participate in national and international scientific meetings and who are involved in meeting program with the presentation (declaration, poster or art works) or who attend the meetings as the panellist and commentator. The commission accepts, evaluates, supports and monitor the scientific research projects; it also assesses the original works of art and studies towards distance learning, provides recording all processes through coordination unit and it carries out other duties regarding the scientific researches to be given by the Rector.

EDUCATION COMMISSION

The commission is overall responsible for defining the macro-politics to update the education and programs and to initiate the accreditation process. Additionally, the missions of the commission are to organize the double major/minor and adaptive programs in accordance with its purpose, to review the proposals coming from the academic units towards the standards for compulsory lessons-elective courses and their programming, weekly course schedule, new program proposals etc. and to plan and discuss the required legislation and direction amendments as well as to convey them to the legislation commission and to build opinions about the education to the senate.

Quality Commission

The missions of the Quality Commission are to develop the quality development activities and quality assurance system in each unit; to provide annual unit’s self-assessment activities and to carry out the university self-assessment activities. On the other hand, it is responsible for preparing Annual Organizational Assessment Reports and to submit them to the Senate for the Organizational External Assessment Process.

CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT AND ASSESMENT COMMISSION

The Corporate and Development and Assessment Commission is responsible for establishing Performance Management System for the academic and administrative staff with evaluation and reporting the processes

Duties and Responsibilities

To prepare the strategic plan by determining the strategic dimensions, aims and objectives of our university, to evaluate it with the heads of the commission, to submit it to the University Senate / Board of Directors.
To position our university among other universities according to different criteria and features, to prepare comparison reports, to determine the areas to be developed and the necessary operational strategy by conducting SWOT analysis.
To determine process- oriented business objectives and performance criteria in line with strategic aims and objectives with the participation of faculties, departments and units.
To establish academic and administrative staff Performance Management System for academic and administrative staff Performance Management System along with the evaluation and reporting processes and submit them to the University Senate / Board for approval.
To determine and carry out of competency of academic and administrative staff and measurement processes.
To Measure the performance of departments, units and employees in line with performance criteria; to submit the required reports on time.
To make a development and career plan by creating the roles of all employees; to lead and create talent development candidate pools.
To ensure and document the analysis, determination, design, updating, improvement, simplification and enrichment of processes related to faculty, department and unit business with the process owners and to sort out documentations.
To Prepare and update the regulations on duties and authorities, including the commissions and boards, and the working procedures and principles, in consultation with the relevant faculties and departments.
To carry out norm staff studies with the university, faculty, department and units.
To keep the institutional structuring up to date on the relevant platforms.
To associate and coordinate academic studies, projects and all related processes.
To configure and conduct the suggestion platform, to establish a suggestion evaluation system.
To carry out and report student, academic and administrative staff satisfaction measurements
