Part-time Certificate Programme
One of the founding goals of our Conservatory, in line with the philosophy of our university, is to spread the understanding of art and music and the culture of music in society, to improve music literacy, and at the same time, to contribute to the preparatory departments of the conservatory.
In this context, while other conservatories reduce the duration of their Part-Time Certificate Programs to up to 4 years, Maltepe University Conservatory has established the Children’s Conservatory (offering Orff Instrument Training) for preschool, elementary school 1, and elementary school 2, as well as the Part-Time Certificate Program (which lasts 9 years, starting from the second grade of elementary school). The aim of this is to keep students engaged in quality music education and to prepare them for undergraduate education.
The Part-Time Certificate Program covers string instruments (Violin, Viola, Cello, and Double Bass), Piano, and wind instruments (Flute, Clarinet, and Oboe). The 9-year Part-Time Certificate Education is divided into three 3-year certificate programs: beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. Upon completing each level’s exam, the student is awarded the corresponding certificate for that period.
