Dean Message

The Faculty of Fine Arts, inspired by the rich cultural resources offered by the city of Istanbul and Maltepe University, has created a contemporary education and study area for artist candidates  and artists of the future.

In this context, the Faculty provides various opportunities for artist candidates to develop their way of thinking on the purpose of art, its historical development social role, and the reflections in their relationships with other side fields such as literature, music, and philosophy. With theoretical lectures and workshops, in line with the essence, form and self-expression in art, it reinforces the perspective of the artist candidates and  encourages the process of technical diversity.

In the light of the fact that artistic products are restructured for new production and presentation areas, in accordance with the new contemporary requirements, especially projects that will take place in life are taken as a basis in education programs and national and international developments are observed in related fields.

Faculty of Fine Arts, as a member of CILECT (The International Association of Film and Television Schools), Elia (European League of Institutes of the Arts) and AEHT (European Association of Hotel and Tourism Schools) while adapting to European culture and education, also contributes with its own cultural infrastructure.
