About the Faculty

The Faculty of Education at Maltepe University was established in 2001 with the aim of preparing enlightened, socially responsible teachers and psychological counselors who can adapt to the conditions of the contemporary era and apply theoretical knowledge to practical problem-solving within the Turkish National Education System.

The founding dean of the faculty was Prof. Dr. İsa Eşme.

The faculty began admitting students in the 2004-2005 academic year, starting with the Guidance and Psychological Counseling Program under the Department of Educational Sciences. This was followed by the admission of students to the English Language Teaching Program under the Department of Foreign Language Education in the 2005-2006 academic year.
