Research Centers.

Our faculty has two research and application centers:

Cancer and Stem Cell Research and Application Center (MÜKKAM)
MÜKKAM was established in 2014 at the Maltepe University Marmara Education Village to serve scientists, students, and medical doctors working in basic and applied fields related to cancer and stem cells. MÜKKAM is a multidisciplinary center aiming to produce national and international studies and obtain scientific data that can be applied in practice. The center focuses on cancer and stem cell biology, genetic engineering, biotechnology, and bioinformatics, and aims to meet the demands for processes, techniques, or products in these fields.

Laboratory Animals Research and Application Center (MÜDEHAM)
MÜDEHAM provides training and educational opportunities related to experimental applications alongside scientific research and thesis work in the field of health sciences, covering both our university and other universities. The production section, where the care, breeding, and production of laboratory animals are carried out, and the research laboratories equipped with advanced technological infrastructure for experimental research, are located within our campus. The center includes a research and application laboratory, care and production sections, washing and disinfection sections, storage and staff areas, and educational spaces. In MÜDEHAM, model development studies for all types of research are conducted, and the care and breeding of laboratory animals are carried out in compliance with national and international regulations and ethical standards.
