About Disaster Solidarity Network (ADA): The Disaster Solidarity Network is a volunteer community established to reduce the impact of disasters on people and prepare communities for disasters. We emphasize the importance of local organization to combat disaster challenges more effectively and coordinately. The network has undertaken the mission of saving lives during disasters, minimizing damages, and supporting community recovery post-disaster through a team of disaster-conscious individuals.
As the Disaster Solidarity Network, we organize awareness activities primarily to spread disaster consciousness and ensure community preparedness for disasters. Through these efforts, we aim to help people develop correct reflexes against disasters and act effectively and calmly in post-disaster situations rather than panicking. We also aim to create teams that can respond to disasters effectively by encouraging disaster-conscious individuals to continuously complete their training.
Another important goal is developing local capacity. In this context, we aim to play an active role in post-disaster response and recovery processes by strengthening solidarity and cooperation among local groups and communities. We also emphasize establishing and maintaining disaster management standards for coordinating local groups during disasters and managing post-disaster recovery processes. We conduct projects aimed at increasing disaster awareness and preparedness levels in society to ensure effective communication and participation against disasters. Through these projects, we aim to strengthen social solidarity and trust by ensuring public awareness about disasters and enabling more effective intervention in post-disaster situations.
