Civil Air Transport Management Program’s Webinar in the Meteorology Course, Flying Under Adverse Weather Conditions

On 11 May 2020, between 13:30 and 14:30, we invited Turkish Airlines Pilot and also the Advisory Board Member of our program, Mr. Ismail Bingöl, to our Meteorology course. We talked with İsmail Bingöl is a captain of Boeing 777, who has dedicated 35 years to the aviation profession, about the secret of successfully running the pilot profession for a long time. In aviation, we listened to the effects of adverse weather conditions on a flight through pilots' experiences. We learned what to do if exposed to adverse weather conditions such as storms or turbulence. Despite the meteorology radar, we learned from the Bingöl captain's memories that the CB cloud can be entered and what CB looks like, how huge it is and the dangers CB contains. It was a conversation that, from the changes in meteorological effects as a result of climate changes, asked if clear Air Turbulence could or not caused the plane crash, what happened to aircraft if the lightning strikes have become, the questions are answered.
