Since our foundation, we have been honored and proud to carry out significant work in the fields of technology and intellectual property law at both national and international levels. Technology and intellectual property law are gaining increasing importance in the rapidly evolving digital world. In this context, the work conducted at our center contributes not only to academia but also to the industrial and public sectors. We organize essential projects and events on critical issues, such as the regulation of crypto assets, the protection of digital rights, and the legal dimensions of artificial intelligence and blockchain technologies.
Throughout 2022, our Blockchain Summit, Digital Transformation and Law Panel, and various conferences represented only a fraction of our scientific and practical work. Particularly, our collaboration protocol signed with the General Directorate of Copyrights of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism is a step that has strengthened our ties with the industry and enabled us to undertake significant projects in the field of copyright.
The aim of our center is to enhance knowledge in the field of technology and intellectual property law through scientific research, education, and documentation work and to offer practical solutions. In line with this goal, we continue to bring together expert academics and practitioners through the conferences, seminars, and workshops we organize by establishing national and international collaborations.
As Maltepe University’s Technology and Intellectual Property Law Practice and Research Center, our vision for the future is to reinforce Turkey’s leadership in this area with innovative and pioneering research at the intersection of technology and law. With this vision, we will continue our scientific research and applications, contributing to the benefit of our society and country.
We invite you, our valued visitors, to closely follow our center’s activities and participate in our events. I am confident that together we will create a stronger and more informed ecosystem for technology and intellectual property law.
Sincerely,
Asst.Prof. Dr. Betül AKTAŞ ERTAN
