UNESCO's new publication "I'd blush if I could: closing gender divides in digital skills through education" has been translated into Turkish. This report aims to disseminate UNESCO's strategies and goals for closing gender divides in digital skills through education.

  • November 19-20, 2020, III SWIP-TR Conference: Philosophy, Gender and Social Justice

MÜKÇAM hosted the third SWIP-TR (Society for Women in Philosophy in Turkey) conference in cooperation with Maltepe University Philosophy Department. SWIP-TR aims to be neutral in terms of fields of study and political orientation within philosophy. The main aim is to provide a forum for women engaged in philosophy at a professional level, without making further judgments or conditions about the nature of this endeavor in advance. The aim is also to encourage as much as possible collaboration among women philosophers in Turkey and beyond; to exchange ideas in a convivial atmosphere of mutual solidarity, to provide feedback and criticism on each other's work, to learn from each other and to support each other.

  • 1 November 28, 2020, Workshop on 'Family in the Age of Globalization'

Maltepe University Women and Family Studies Research and Application Center (MÜKÇAM), with the support and partnership of Friedrich-Ebert Stiftung Association Turkey Representation (FES), organized the workshop on Saturday, November 28, 2020. The aim of the workshop is to discuss the change and transformation of the family institution in the era of globalization - some would say the crisis it is in - from an interdisciplinary perspective in terms of its various dimensions and to discuss the content, causes and consequences of the problem and possible solutions.
