Introduction

GENERAL INFORMATION
Our College, which was founded in 1997, then stopped accepting students and resumed education in 2007, provides 4-year undergraduate education. The College Education Program aims to train students as enterprising nurses who have a holistic and humanistic philosophy, can communicate effectively, are compatible with teamwork, can create change to continuously improve quality or adapt to change, access new information, use new technologies.

The education program includes basic nursing courses that enable students to learn health-promoting, preventive, curative and rehabilitative care, as well as basic medical courses and social science courses. The aim is to develop students' perceptions and human understanding skills with elective courses, most of which are foreign language, art-social and general education courses. In the final year, students are prepared for working life with a one-year intern education.

For this purpose, each student works in intensive care units for one semester and takes theoretical courses. In the second semester of the intern programs, the student performs clinical practice in one of the fields he/she has chosen according to his/her interests, thus supporting his/her development in the field he/she will want to work in after graduation. Clinical practice is very important in nursing education. Our university has a hospital with modern technological facilities that medical and nursing students can benefit from in their clinical practices.

In addition to this hospital, students also perform clinical practice in various units of other hospitals and learn nursing management models. Our students can also benefit from student exchange opportunities within the framework of our program prepared in line with the European Credit Transfer System and the agreements made. Our college publishes the scientific e-journal named “Nursing Science and Art” with the importance it gives to sharing scientific developments and hosts various professional and scientific events. Our college held a symposium titled “ISTANBUL, the City Where the Nursing Torch Is Lit” on May 12, 2010 and a symposium titled “Equality in Health” and “Art in Nursing” on May 13, 2011. Our International Student Congresses are held every year.
