Program Description

The Public Relations and Advertising Program, which sets out with an educational approach based on transforming theoretical knowledge into practical experience, prepares students for the future with its expert and sector-experienced education staff. The program has been designed to contribute to the human resource needs in the fields of public relations and advertising in order to train sought-after communicators in the business world. In this context, our advisory boards include senior executives of the leading brands in the sector. Within the framework of the importance given to academy & sector cooperation, our students are provided with work experience and joint academic publications are made with sector executives. Communicators who think, learn, apply and thus achieve success are preferred with the education they receive in our age where the traditional business approach is changing and new customer-focused trends are at the center.

The Associate's Degree program in Public Relations and Advertising is designed to give students a strong foundation in both the theory and practice of management, while also preparing them to become experts in their field.

The curriculum covers a wide range of topics, including public relations, corporate communication, brand management, advertising, marketing, and social responsibility. Students can also choose from a variety of elective courses in business, social sciences, and other areas of interest.

The program emphasizes a dual-pronged approach, combining theoretical knowledge with practical application through courses such as campaign development, media planning, advertising production and management, copywriting, marketing, and communication skills.

The goal of the Maltepe University Vocational School's Public Relations and Advertising program is to produce graduates who are well-prepared for successful careers in the public relations industry. Our graduates will be knowledgeable, skilled, and adaptable, and they will be able to make a positive impact on organizations and communities.

To provide a suitable learning environment to cultivate individuals who can contribute to universal knowledge and culture in line with the demands of the age and with a sense of social responsibility; to instill creative and innovative perspectives capable of being a solution partner to the needs of the sector; and to train sought-after experts in Public Relations and Advertising.

It serves the purpose of ensuring the international recognition and strengthening the validity of the academic and professional recognition of the knowledge, skills, and competences acquired.

What are the Internship Opportunities? Are There Bilateral Agreements?

Our students can complete internships at corporate companies, public relations and advertising agencies, media organizations, airports, and other private and public institutions. Many of our students have received job offers from the companies where they interned.

Where Can I Work After Graduation?

Our students receive theoretical and practical training from our qualified faculty, which enables them to work in public relations and promotion departments of public institutions and organizations, private companies, and non-profit organizations, corporate communication departments, press and public relations offices, and advertising, marketing, and sales departments after graduation.
