Mission and Vision
Mission
Architecture, the oldest profession on earth, is the act of “building” that begins with the existence of human beings, where the historical and spatial accumulation, development and transformations of society and the city can be perceived concretely. The most fundamental mission of architectural education is to understand, analyze and reinterpret this accumulation within its own conditions.
For this reason, our Department of Architecture curriculum aims to include all practical and theoretical aspects of the professional field of study and aims to develop students' social, artistic, technical competence and responsibilities as well as organizational and communication skills. In addition to providing our students with intellectual vision, professional formation, and the ability to solve architectural and urban planning problems, we aim to provide students with collaborative and interdisciplinary architectural experience and skills in different aspects of the architectural profession.
Vision
Our architecture curriculum is structured with a wide range of elective courses in social sciences, science and fine arts as well as basic professional courses. It is aimed to train our students as qualified designers with a broad vision through joint courses and Major - Minor programs with other departments that provide design education such as Interior Architecture and Ship and Yacht Design within the Faculty of Architecture and Design.
With its well-equipped, expert and distinguished academic staff and an application workshop (Hangar), which is not available in any other institution, a privileged education with a “learning by doing - learning by practicing” approach is offered.
