WHY DEPARTMENT OF CARTOON AND ANIMATION?

The Department of Cartoon and Animation aims to raise individuals who possess national and international competencies in the subjects of Cartoon and Animation Art, Theory, and Film Production. It is also aimed to bring these individuals into society as professionals who research, know how to access information, set goals, progress towards their goals, have defined their personal concepts of art and aesthetics, possess the discipline for production and teamwork, and take care to protect ethical values.

In parallel with its undergraduate education, the Department of Cartoon and Animation strengthens its academic position as a highly competitive and respected institution through the quality and continuity of the national and international education, teaching, and production projects it offers. Our department workshops provide a professional studio working environment that meets traditional techniques for Cartoon and Animation production, while also being constantly updated in line with current technologies. It is aimed for our students to be individuals with the qualifications and equipment sought after by academic, professional, and artistic institutions and organizations serving in the field of Cartoon and Animation Art and Theory during their education and after graduation.
