The RESQIUM 2026 Disaster Awareness Summit is being organized to raise scientific awareness regarding disaster management and community preparedness—key priorities for both our country and the world—to strengthen interagency coordination, and to evaluate field experiences from an academic perspective.
Organized by the Health, Culture and Sports Department, Search and Rescue Club with the support of the Maltepe University Search and Rescue Association (MUSAR), this summit will bring together public institutions, civil society organizations, search and rescue teams, and the academic community on a common platform. During the summit, experts will address critical topics such as disaster management, modern search and rescue technologies, and social resilience; additionally, booths set up in the parking lot across from the Cultural Center will showcase innovations and practical examples from the sector to participants.
The participation of all our university stakeholders in this important event is of great significance for fostering interdisciplinary knowledge sharing and building a disaster-resilient society.
