Occupational Health and Safety
Occupational Health and Safety Program, regarding work accidents and occupational diseases that may occur in business life, it was established to train knowledgeable and competent technical personnel who can assume responsibility for occupational safety in all industry and service sectors in the light of technology and information. The main goal of our program is to increase work and worker efficiency and create a healthy and safe working environment by minimizing risks in workplaces. In addition, it is also ensures prevention or reduction work accidents and occupational diseases by raising employer’s and all staff’s awareness of occupational health and safety.
Education time of the program is 2 years and the medium of teaching is Turkish.
If students meeting the programme requirements successfully acquire the graduation requirements, graduate from the Vocational School of Maltepe University with the title of ‘Occupational Health and Safety Technician`.
MISSION
Nowadays, the need for occupational health and safety personnel is increasing in all sectors. Unfortunately, the number of trained technical personnel in the field of occupational safety in Turkey is not sufficient to meet the need. Since occupational health and safety is a very comprehensive field, it is of great importance to adapt preventive and protective measures to current conditions. Therefore, the number of people who will work in the field of occupational health and safety should be increased and these people should be well trained.
With the Occupational Health and Safety Law, the employment of occupational health and safety pfofessionals has become mandatory in the private and public sectors.
For the stated purposes, our mission is to be a program that trains technical personnel sought after in the service and industry fields in Turkey.
VISION
Our program aims to train technical personnel who are needed in both the public and private sectors in our country, who are suitable for today's requirements, who are trained and informed with contemporary education methods, and who have sufficient experience in the professional field.
