Civil Aviation Transportation Management

The Civil Aviation Management Program aims to create an innovative and realistic learning environment to prepare students for their careers. Activities are organized where students can ask questions, see services in action, and learn from these experiences. Boutique tours to airports, meteorological stations, and ground service equipment production centers are arranged to introduce students to the field and allow them to learn technical information on-site. Additionally, students meet with aviation industry experts through conferences, speeches, and presentations, learning about current issues and professional developments firsthand.

The Civil Aviation Management Program provides special opportunities for students who want to gain experience through practical learning. To achieve this goal, students collaborate with the best in the industry.

MISSION

The mission of the Civil Aviation Management Program is to provide students with a current learning environment designed to impart professional expertise, foreign language proficiency, and practical communication skills and to mobilize employment opportunities for them upon graduation.

VISION

To be a department that students, faculty, and alums are proud to be part of, leading change with a holistic and collaborative approach through inspiring research and offering valuable and innovative learning environments for the benefit of society.

WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE THIS PROGRAM?

With the certificates and foreign language proficiency they gain after two years of comprehensive education, our graduates can easily find jobs in civil aviation organizations. The need for trained personnel in civil aviation organizations to reduce costs plays a role in the preference for our certified graduates in hiring processes.

DOES THE PROGRAM HAVE ACCREDITATION?

Maltepe University's Civil Aviation Management Program is the only university authorized by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation to provide internal and external training in 22 subjects within Ground Services, Aviation Security, and Dangerous Goods. Through this authorization, SHUI has both met the expectations of the civil aviation sector and concretized the employment opportunities it creates for its graduates in accredited subjects, distinguishing itself from the graduates of similar programs at other schools.

WHAT ARE THE INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES? ARE THERE ANY PARTNERSHIPS?

Our students complete their mandatory 30-day internship at the end of the first year with leading aviation organizations such as IGA, Pegasus, MNG Airlines, Havaş, Çelebi Aviation Service, TGS, FUGO, and Merkür. During the internship, they can experience what they have learned in class and explore the institutions they will work for even before graduating. Our department provides comprehensive support and guidance during these internships, ensuring our students' learning and growth. We also have internship and employment protocols with Havaş, Çelebi Aviation Service, ISG Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport, and TGS.

WHERE CAN I WORK AFTER GRADUATION?

Graduates can work as Operations Officers, Load Masters, Aircraft Coordinators, OCC Officers, Passenger Service Agents, Cargo Agents, and Team Leaders at national and international airports, airlines, ground handling companies, and supervision and representation companies.
