The seminar titled “Health Risks and Management of Radiation” was successfully held within the scope of cooperation between RADKOR and our Technology Transfer Office (TTO), with the participation of our academic and administrative staff as well as our students.
Within the scope of the training, comprehensive information was provided on types of ionizing radiation, biological effects of radiation, dose limits, basic protection principles (time–distance–shielding), safety measures to be taken in working environments, and the relevant legislation.
Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of establishing a culture of safe working practices at an early stage, especially for students studying in departments that may work with radiation. In addition to theoretical knowledge, participants also gained awareness of practical safety procedures.
We would like to thank the trainers who contributed to the program and all our academic staff, administrative staff, and students who participated in the training.
