CALL FOR PAPERS
MUISC’22
ARTCONS
MALTEPE UNIVERSITY INTERNATIONAL FINE ARTS AND CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC STUDENT CONGRESS - ONLINE
May 17-18, 2022
"LIFE with/out ART”: Sustainable Development in the Arts

Maltepe University Faculty of Fine Arts and Conservatory of Music organizes the International Fine Arts and Conservatory of Music Student Congress ARTCONS for all undergraduate and graduate students globally. This international congress will be held online on 17-18 May 2022.

We are excited to host another global student art congress and expect more participation this year than before. In previous years, we have hosted many student participants worldwide from Asia, Europe, Africa, North and South America.

For a better future of our world, UNESCO announced 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The field of art can support most of these goals and at Maltepe University, we feel the urge to get attention that the field of art can become the 18th goal itself in developing sustainable development goals for the world.

We invite brilliant young artistic minds of the world to join us at Maltepe University for the International Student Congress.

This congress will raise questions to attendees and aims to discuss and find solutions following these main questions:

-What factors in today's art world make itself unsustainable?

-What are the effects of having arts in today's life in different communities and cultures in the world?

-How can we plan our future to ensure that the arts have sustainable development?

-How and in what extraordinary ways can fine and performing arts contribute to the future of the world to take it further than ever done?

-What changed in arts and its education after the global pandemic?

In discussing these raised questions, students may find various topics suggested below. These topics are optional and attendees are invited to create their own topics or combine with others. Please see categories below as the projects can be submitted in various formats.
