In the light of our university's philosophy, one of the aims of our conservatory is to spread the understanding and the culture of art and music in the society, to improve music literacy, and to contribute to the preparatory units of the conservatory. 

In the light of this consept, while other conservatories have reduced their education time to 4 years,  Maltepe University Conservatory has launched the Children's Music Conservatory giving Orff Education (kindergarten, and elementary school grades 1 and 2) and part-time certificate programme (which lasts  9 years starting from the second year of elementary school). The purpose of this programme is to keep the students within qualified music training and prepare them for the undergraduate education. 

Part - time  certificate programme includes stringged instruments (Violin,  Viola,  Violoncello and  Contrabass), Piano, and wind instruments (Flute, Clarinet and Oboe). 9  year part - time certificate programme is divided into 3 year certificate programs as Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced levels. Students completing each level  successfully are given the certificates of the related semester.
