RETHINKING THE PHILOSOPY OF LAW:

HUKUK TEORİLERİ, İNSAN HAKLARI VE ANAYASALAR

LEGAL THEORIES, CONSTITUTIONS AND HUMAN RIGHTS

This book consists of a part of rge papers presented during the conference on "Rethinking the Philosophy of Law: Legal Theories, Constitutions and Human Rights", organised by Centre of Human Rights of Maltepe University in June 2009.

The main aim of organising such a conference is to bring the Philosophy of Law, with its new problems, on the agenda of the academic community and thus to call its attention to the place and significance of ethics and human rights in legislation and the implementation of law at all levels.

At the moment when we are faced in Turkey, with hot debates related to changes in the constittution, we hope that the papers of this book could help the reader to think clearer on such issues.
