Film Design Master Programme was established in the Fine Arts Department of Social Sciences Institute in Maltepe University. The programme aims to conduct to produce theoretical information and supporting researches on the applications in cinema, video and animation in fields. It aims to present a interdisciplinary theoretical place the students coming from different application fields film art. Original studies on current topics and problems, reviews and new methods are supported. Another aim of the programme is to train scientists and academics who can do scientific work at the academic quality and validity. In different areas of film art, production of the artifacts is targeted have the competence to practice and strong theoretical basis provide.

The programme includes four semesters of training. The duration is 2 years. In the 1st and 2nd semester, students who are successful from courses required for graduation prepare their theses in the 3rd and 4th semesters under the supervision of a consultant. It may be theoretical or application– based.
