Maltepe University Medical Faculty Hospitals continue their below services as usual, with all the power of their personnel:
- Emergency services,
- Polyclinics,
- Inpatient treatment.
A ceaseless effort is being made in order to carry on all hospital services and to use all resources effectively.
In order to minimize the risk of infection of Coronavirus (COVID-19), which threatens our world on a global scale, the following precautions have been quickly taken in our hospitals:
- Our patients who wants to get outpatient services are primarily being persuaded to apply to their Family Physicians in their Family Health Centers, where they are registered.
- As of 18.03.2020, elective surgical and interventional procedures, except for cancer and emergency surgeries, have been postponed to a later date.
- Additional precautions are taken at the hospital entrances such as:
- The first controls of the applicants to our hospital are made with a "thermometer".
- Patients with a fever and/or cough are given a mask and priority is given for their medical services.
- Outpatients are only allowed to enter the polyclinic with only one attendant, and only if essential.
- Visits to our inpatients are prohibited and only one attendant is allowed to stay with the patient.
- Following intervals for the patients with chronic diseases are kept as long as possible.
- Those who have complaints of fever, cough etc. or suspicions of disease are recommended to call “Alo 184 Corona Hotline” before applying to the hospital.
